Not quite yet, but soon! The Mississippi Department of Health established a timeline for the medical marijuana program to have regulations in place by July 1st, 2021, and to start issuing medical cards to qualified patients by August 15th, 2021.
Although you cannot officially get approved by a doctor yet, we are currently offering pre-registration appointments through Telemedicine (Online video conference). During this visit one of our compassionate patient care specialists will review your medical history as well as any documentation you are able to provide as proof to verify if you qualify. The idea of getting pre-registered is to make sure you are fully prepared when it comes time to see our doctor, so that you can have a much better chance of getting approved for your Mississippi medical marijuana card!

How Do I Qualify and Get Approved for a Mississippi Medical Marijuana Card?
If you believe that you currently have a debilitating medical condition and would like to explore medical marijuana as a treatment option, you will need to get approved for a Medical marijuana card. Mississippi medical cards are not available until August 2021 but to obtain one you will need to:
- Be a Mississippi Resident with valid ID.
- Be certified by a licensed Mississippi medical marijuana doctor.
- Be registered as a patient with the Mississippi Department of Health.
Once you are ready, you can schedule a Telemedicine pre-registration appointment with one of our patient care specialists to be evaluated based on your current health condition and any medical documentation you can provide as proof. If they believe that you qualify, they will then issue the pre-registration letter and inform you on the next step in the process. Pre-registered patients will be the first people we contact to schedule consultations with our doctor once the state registry officially opens in August 2021!
If either our patient care specialist or doctor finds that you do not qualify to get a Mississippi medical card, you will receive a full refund!
How do I Find a Mississippi Medical Marijuana Licensed Doctor?
Mississippi residents who are interested in obtaining their Medical Marijuana Card will need to find a state-licensed Medical Marijuana Doctor once the registry opens.
Although it is not yet time to see the doctor, we plan on having several clinics located conveniently throughout the state of Mississippi to help minimize your travel time. Here our doctor will be able to officially certify you as a medical marijuana patient and our on-site staff will assist you in getting registered online with the State to get your medical card. We will also be offering Telemedicine (online video conference) consultations with our doctor, meaning you can get your Mississippi Medical Marijuana Card from the comfort of home!

How Do I Register with the State as a Mississippi Medical Marijuana patient?
The Mississippi State Registry for Medical Marijuana will not be accepting patient applications until Summer 2021. Once it becomes available, we will be happy to assist our patients in getting registered online. To do so you will just need the following:
- Signed Physician Written Certification Form issued by our doctor.
- Valid Mississippi Driver’s License or MS State-Issued ID Card.
- $50 patient ID card fee.
After you have been approved by our doctor and you have everything that is required, our staff will help you submit your online application to the state. Upon accepting your application, the state will then enter you into the patient Registry and issue the Mississippi Medical Marijuana ID Card.
How Do I Register with the State as a Mississippi Medical Marijuana patient?
We are happy to assist our patients in getting registered with the state, to do so you will just need the following:
- Signed Physician Written Certification Form issued by our Provider
- Valid Mississippi Driver’s License or WV State-Issued ID Card with proof of Mississippi Residence
- $50 Application Fee (payable by check or money order via postal mail ONLY)
After you have been approved by our provider and you have everything that’s required, our staff will help you submit your online application to the state. Upon accepting your application, the state will then enter you into the patient Registry and issue the Mississippi Medical Marijuana ID Card.
When Can I Start Using my Mississippi Medical Marijuana Card?
Legal protection as a patient is effective immediately upon obtaining the card. In terms of dispensaries, they will most likely be opening sometime in Fall 2021. This does not necessarily mean you will have to wait until then to purchase product, though.
Certain states with established medical marijuana programs may offer reciprocity for Mississippi medical marijuana patients. This means that once you obtain your Mississippi medical marijuana card, you could possibly go to a state that offers reciprocity and purchase medical marijuana products from their dispensaries. This would give patients an option to obtain medical marijuana as soon as they get their card without having to wait for local Mississippi dispensaries.
